Are the jackets waterproof or just water resistant?

How do I size a jacket if I want to layer underneath?

How do I care for a puffer or shell jacket?
Most styles take a cool gentle machine wash with a technical wash detergent (not regular). Air dry, or for puffers, tumble low with a few clean tennis balls to restore loft. Avoid fabric softener as it clogs the outer finish. Re-proof shells with a wash-in product every few seasons.
